About Black Bear Marketing

Why Black Bear?

I had my first experience with a black bear when I was 10 years old.  I was riding horseback in the mountains of Montana, and when I saw it, I was sure my horse was going to get spooked and throw me off.  Luckily, that did not happen and it turned out to be just a very cool memory!  I have loved and studied black bears ever since, and have had the pleasure to see them in both captivity and the wild many times.

About

Hey there!  I'm Danielle Scott, owner of Black Bear Marketing.  I am a marketing professional with 20 years of experience helping non-profits, organizations, and corporations transform their business with the power of marketing.

I graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in journalism, and have held marketing leadership positions in both private and public sectors.  This broad experience translates to a comprehensive menu of services I can provide to my clients.

Public service and giving back is very important to me and I have been involved with or held a board member position with the local PTA, Ann's Helping Hands, Port Byron First United Methodist Church and preschool, Humane Society of Scott County, and cub scouts.  I was a 2011 recipient of the Quad Cities' Area Leader Under 40.  It's also why a portion of all profits from Black Bear Marketing will go toward a black bear-related non-profit!

When I'm not working on smart, creative marketing solutions, I enjoy being outdoors hiking, riding UTVs, rollerblading, and spending time with friends and family.  I live in a small town in Illinois on the mighty Mississippi River with my husband, two kids, two dogs, and a cat.

Each black bear has its own voice.  So does your business - so let's find yours today!
