Why Black Bear?
I had my first experience with a black bear when I was 10 years old. I was riding horseback in the mountains of Montana, and when I saw it, I was sure my horse was going to get spooked and throw me off. Luckily, that did not happen and it turned out to be just a very cool memory! I have loved and studied black bears ever since, and have had the pleasure to see them in both captivity and the wild many times.
